Scope:

“Bridging the Spectrum: A Symposium on Scholarship and Practice in Library and Information Science” offers a knowledge-sharing forum and meeting place for practitioners, students, and faculty in Library and Information Sciences and Services. Presentations on innovative practices, projects, and research activities will be delivered. Presentations originate from a variety of library, archive, or information services activity, and encompass many different aspects of Library and Information Professional work. The program will host a diverse set of presentations and foster unexpected connections across the spectrum of the information professions.

Format of Presentations:

The Symposium included primarily two types of sessions: briefings, and posters.

Briefings were 15-minute descriptions of an innovative practice, project, or research activity.

Posters were exhibits describing a practice, project, or research activity. Posters were viewable throughout the day, and there were a poster session during which presenters discussed their work with attendees.

Presentations were made by practitioners, students, and researchers.
