Abstract:	Himmelfarb Health Sciences Library developed a pilot project to evaluate PDA use in medical education. A grant was secured to fund the purchase of medical reference software. The objective of the pilot project was to analyze usage of PDA software by medical students, residents and physician assitant students in a clinical setting.

The Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) provides a shared digital institutional repository for its member institutions, known collectively as the ALADIN Research Commons.

This resource is intended to serve both as a mechanism for publishing - in digital form - the scholarly output of each school’s academic community, and as an open and shared ALADIN resource that supports research and continued scholarship.

Currently, the WRLC has selected DSpace as the underlying digital repository system to meet WRLC and member institutions electronic publishing, scholarly access, and digital preservation needs.
