Those elections in Chile and Honduras are the central focus on Latin Pulse. In Chile, two women whose families took different sides in the coup that brought General Augusto Pinochet to power are the leading candidates. The program covers the key economic and educational issues in that election. The conversation also covers the coming Honduran elections where questions of fairness, corruption, and violence are important. The news segment of the program covers new economic initiatives in Venezuela to control consumer prices.
