Introducing Latin Pulse, a weekly podcast analysis of news and public affairs in Latin America, brought to you in cooperation with American University School of Communication and Link TV. For four years Link TV produced a video series that provided in-depth analysis of issues in Latin America. Although that video series is now on hiatus, this podcast of the same name is produced in the spirit of that original program. This week features two in-depth conversations with experts in the region discussing the impact of the drug war in Mexico, and Cuba's current attempt at economic reforms. Also, highlights of this week's news from Latin America. Interviewees include: Eric Hershberg, Director of the Center for Latin American & Latino Studies at American University; and Luis Botello of the International Center for Journalists.
