| Abstract: | Librarians collaborated to develop a web-based HIPAA training module for the medical center. Content was based on materials from an outside legal expert. Special attention was given to clinical scenarios illustrating key issues in HIPAA regulations. Librarians drafted the module which was then reviewed by legal consul, the School of Medicine & Health Sciences, and the Graduate Medical Office. The final module was disseminated via the University's course management system. A corresponding module was developed for CME credit. |
